In January 2019 I appeared in Series 1, Episode 5 of BBC2's The Twinstitute - Giving Up Smoking where I treated one twin with NADA whilst his identical twin brother received Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Smoking Cessation. The results were interesting with my twin experiencing 5 days out of 28 not smoking, whilst his twin brother did not stop at all.

I first became interested in Chinese Medicine after witnessing my mum and a close friend's infant daughter successfully receive treatment. I was curious to see whether it would be able to help me with some of my health issues too. What I wasn't expecting were the other profound changes that Chinese Medicine and in particular acupuncture would bring physically, emotionally and mentally. Neither was I expecting the treatment to be quite so relaxing!
I obtained my Diploma in acupuncture from the University of Portsmouth at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture. I went on to receive my BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture from Kingston University at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) I am bound by their safe code of practice and code of professional conduct. I have full professional indemnity and public liability insurance. I am committed to developing as a practitioner and am additionally qualified in cosmetic facial acupuncture and shonishin for babies and children. I continue my education in this ancient medicinal practice through CPD.
From December 2012 until October 2014 I ran a community acupuncture clinic in South Wimbledon alongside two other acupuncturists. In March 2015 I started my own community clinic on Monday evenings (except Bank Holidays) 4.30pm-10pm in Sydenham at Inkwa Tattoos (currently closed - Sept 2023). I am a member of ACMAC (Association of Community & Multibed Acupuncture Clinics) an organisation of acupuncturists dedicated to providing affordable treatments. I am available for 1:1 appointments at MindBody Therapy in Forest Hill. Appointments are available subject to room availability. I am also available for home treatments which carry an additional fee for travel, happily visiting people in the comfort of their own home.
I trained as a NADA-UK Practitioner in 2009 and was the Business Administrator for NADA UK Ltd from March 2013-May 2016. NADA-UK were a small charity that train health and social care professionals in an ear acupuncture protocol which can be carried out with seated groups. In 2010 I voluntarily travelled with a colleague to St Vincent in the Caribbean and trained a group of health care professionals. I have also volunteered as a NADA practitioner at CRI (Crime Reduction Initiatives) in Lewisham from March 2013-14 running a drop-in clinic alongside their Complementary Therapy Coordinator. From January-October 2015, I ran a NADA ear and general acupuncture clinic for Achieving for Children in Kingston and Richmond. I regularly offer treatments to community groups and businesses in south London including providing NADA treatments for Job Centre Plus staff in south London at their health and wellbeing days. I have also participated in NADA clinics that were set up following the Grenfell fire.
When not practicing Chinese Medicine all things in the creative arts keep me entertained.
